Martha Pullen licensing

I’m currently in Huntsville attending Baby Lock licensing with Martha Pullen Co. It is such fun. I have not started any projects yet, since I have been learning techniques, but tomorrow I will put things together on a pillow, a towel, and start a quilt. We will add in machine embroidery tomorrow as well. We are working on the Ellisimo Gold, which is a joy to use.
That said, I might mention that the way they have their presser foot lifting mechanism set up drives me nuts. It stitches beautifully, though, and I had fun using several heirloom stitches today.

A tip: If you use hand quilting thread in your pleater bobbins, or get frustrated with wiry cotton threads springing all over uncontrollably, soak the bobbins or spools in water until they sink. Then take them out and let them dry. The thread will be more flexible and will not spring off the spool or bobbin so wildly any more.
